The lecture will cover:

  • Self-care tips (including how to maintain a practice while traveling)
  • Sample Daily Routine
  • Essential oils

Chakra (Energy) Balancing Workshop

In this 90 minute workshop we will explore balancing the subtleties of our energetic body. Beginning with grounding meditations we will then explore our physical body through a chakra based yoga practice with Emily. Once assimilated in the body, Paige will guide us through a hands on lecture on creating strategies for self chakra detoxification. With a new sense of awakening to our internal body our hope is that you leave this workshop with tools to clear out negativity that may cloud your energy field, the resources to cleanse your physical and emotional body, and a fresh perspective on examining your body from the inside out.

Making classes accessible to everyone is a key part of our beliefs, so if cost is a barrier for you, please email us and we can discuss how to make it work.

FullSizeRender - Emily Taylor.jp

Get to know Emily: I learned unconditional love in Arizona but California is where I grew free. I cultivated moxie in South America and found my voice in Portland, Oregon. My yoga practice permeated through these experiences, softened the edges and deepened the grooves. My hope as a yoga teacher, is to share the ancient teachings as they are, for you to experience through your lens. I am an innately light person and so my reflection of the teachings comes through in a grounded, lighthearted manner. I completed my 200 hour certification in 2010 and will complete my 500 hour Prana Flow certification with Shiva Rea in 2018.

Get to know Paige: I am a nutritionist and healer. I believe in feeding your passion, cultivating growth and living a life rooted in balance and consciousness. I combine functional nutrition with shamanic energy medicine, allowing my clients to heal body, mind and spirit. I merge the "woo-woo" and science, creating sessions designed to support the individual. My goal as a practitioner is to develop personal and sustainable lifestyle practices that allow individuals to maintain health.

Yoga for Runners with Amanda & Sarah Lyyli

Runners of all levels and abilities can greatly benefit from yoga, beyond just stretching and increasing flexibility.

Join us for a special 2-hour all-levels practice designed to sharpen the mind, strengthen the body, improve balance, prevent injury, and release common areas of tension for runners.

If there is one thing that runners do particularly well is breathing & breath control. We will use this strength in guided meditation and breath work (pranayama). This will help improve mental focus and enhance athletic performance by training the body and mind to work together more efficiently.

We’ll begin with the application of the breath which will guide us through a dynamic flow focusing on the opening of the hips, chest, & hamstrings.  We will also work through standing poses that target muscle groups specific for runners, increase balance, & foot dexterity. Class will close with supported, longer-held poses to lengthen and release tight spots, and a deeply restful savasana. Hands-on support will be provided throughout.

The beautiful thing about running it that it builds strength. Strength is a key in creating the foundation that allows to open. Safely.

The Red Tent: Yoga for Women

A Five-Week Series to Support Your Cycle
Guided by Tess
| All Sundays in April - April 1st through 29th - 9:00-11:00AM

Do you feel like your body, mind, and emotions run the show that is your life? Do you find it difficult to access space, in your body, between thoughts, among conflicting feelings? Do you understand your patterns and cycles?

Many women find that the accelerated pace of life threatens to undermine their health, erode their sense of self, and shake their spiritual center. The pressure of living up to expectations adds to the stress of a hectic schedule. This stress, along with environmental pollutants and junk food, can contribute to the breakdown of the immune system and disturbances of the hormone system, putting women at risk for problems such as fibroid tumors, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, and menstrual irregularities.
— Bobby Clennell (Author of The Woman’s Yoga Book)

Once you learn more about the healing capacity of your body, along with your patterns and cycles, what was once overwhelming suddenly offers you the power to support your well-being as a woman. In this five-week course, you’ll receive an in-depth understanding of how yoga can support you during each phase of your cycle, within the context of the cycle of your life (from menarche to menopause).

Each week will offer a specific focus and will always include:

  • A discussion of the physiological changes that occur throughout a typical 29.5-day cycle.
  • Asana and pranayama practices for specific times of your cycle (e.g., during your period, after your period, before your period - PMS).
  • Essential oil blends for certain times during your cycle.
  • Asana and pranayama practices for specific menstrual irregularities (e.g., migraine headaches, bloating, insomnia, cramps, light or excessive bleeding).
  • A year’s worth of circular calendars to support tracking symptoms and observations throughout cycle.

$108/five-week series or $25/drop-in - registration encouraged!

Libra Moon Cacao Ceremony

Welcome the light!

Spring is just about here! The time to release into soul shoots and spurts of growth and birth cycles abounds. The vibes are full of positive change and transformation this month culminating in a FULL MOON illuminating all things Libra:

Partnership, Charisma, and Balance.

Cacao Ceremony is encased in ancient wisdom and is an opportunity to download some earth medicine and divine feminine magic for yourself. It is connected to this full moon as a means to release any leftover winter vibration (post-equinox) with clarity and commitment.

YOU are in great and profound process, take this evening away from daily life to connect to the wisdom of the subtle body and earth element.

We will embrace a calling in of the elements, Sankalpa dedication and then imbibe the cacao. This will be followed by a healing meditation wherein you will engage with your elemental composition and turn inward to heal the wounds of your winter. The evening will culminate with an opportunity for journal/insight or introverted extended savasana.

Sending Magic

Please bring a token for the altar if you desire, a journal and writing instrument of choice.  Suggested event price: $35 (Sliding scale available)

Building the container: Creating self-care & a home practice for Winter

Building the container: Creating self-care & a home practice for Winter

Join Sarah Lyyli for a 6 week deep dive into the practice of self-care during the winter months. Even though this class was spread over 6 weeks, drop-ins are welcome at any time.

Even in the Northwest, the winter brings with it a dry brittleness that seeps into our bones. The days are shorter & we can go weeks without sun. We tend to create new habits with these changes (extra cup of coffee here, hitting snooze a few more times there) as we often seek warmth and slumber. These are all good things, but with it, we still need to find balance.

In this series, our goal will be to gain a better understanding of Ayurveda + Asana + Pranayama + Meditation + Journaling and how they can be applied to bring balance and self-care to our everyday life. We will focus on building a strong container to better support us during these months where the immune system is tasked and we tend to be indoor bound. Creating awareness around how we not only show up, but how the seasons show up as well.

Each class will include educational materials & discussion, meditation, asana, & most importantly savasana.

Individual drop in classes available for $14.

With registration, you will receive a complimentary pass to Tuesday & Thursday's open studio (from 7:30 - 9:00 am) where Jodie will take you through the studies of the week before & guide you through the evolution of your practice.

Link to registration can be found here.

Mats, Blocks, Straps, Blankets & Course material will be provided. Including warm cups of tea. All you need is you.

Holiday Resilience Workshop with Pause

Life can be hectic enough without the holidays.

Add the dynamics of extended family, travel, and the pressure of holiday perfection to an overloaded schedule and you have the perfect recipe for stress. We end up over-eating, exhausted and disenchanted...but wait, we’re not supposed to feel like “The Grinch”?!

With a little mindfulness, we can experience the holidays this year with more harmony and flow, and a lot less stress.

In this workshop, we'll explore three areas of life where mindfulness goes a long way:

MINDFUL SELF-COMPASSION

MINDFUL RELATIONSHIPS

MINDFUL EATING

Our hope is to send you out the door with a few more tools in your tool belt to help you stay grounded as you move throughout the holidays.

We hope you'll join us! Registration Link.
